This issue was photographed on the beaches of Phippsburg, Maine, on the traditional homelands of the people of the Abenaki tribe. The Abenaki tribe is composed of many smaller groups and tribes spread over New England and Eastern Canada, all speaking related dialects of the Algonquian language – Algonquian meaning “people from the east.” Phippsburg was one of the summer villages of the tribe and a place of fishing, hunting, farming, and gathering.

There are so many beautiful simple inspired projects to discover in this issue, like the Halfmoon Strand Dress and Top by Meghann Halfmoon, the Lighthouse Cardigan designed by Brandi Cheyenne Harper, and the adorable Simple Little Bird and Nest by Susan B. Anderson. We hope you'll take a moment to sit and slow down, to explore the pages of SIMPLE and discover all the amazing projects.

Inside this issue, you can find projects and artwork from Sacrée Frangine, Ocean Rose, Takako Ueki, Jen Hewett, Jessica Unsell, Sanae Ishida, Arounna Khounnoraj, Aneela Hoey, Anna Graham, Megahann Halfmoon, Kristine Vejar, Leila Raven, Jennifer Berg, Orlane Sucche, Vanessa Coscarelli Black, Brandi Harper, Pam Allen, Bristol Ivy, Jaqueline Cieslak, Eri Shimizu, Susan B Anderson, Katrin Schneider, and Cal Patch.
