If you love Melanie Berg as much as we do, you'll love this elegant and drapey shawl. I did one when the pattern came out a bunch of years ago. As that yarn was discontinued, I decided to knit another using a fabulous yarn that she partnered with Pasquali Yarns to help design: Balayage. One thing to note is that I should have had enough of the main color with two skeins, but I ran short, even though I was on gauge. This is common when you're using a different yarn than the pattern calls for. This is why there are 3 skeins of the main color in the kits. Being 80% alpaca, this yarn feels and drapes beautifully. The Hand-Dyed does cost more, so the kits using the HD will also be priced higher.

Kits include 3 skeins of Balayage or Balayage Hand-Dyed for the main color (front of each photo) and 1 skein each of six different colors of Balayage for the contrast colors as shown in the photos. These contrast colors can be used in any order you choose. You don't have to use them in the order I photographed. The pattern is NOT included but can be found HERE.
