As of Monday, June 1, 2020, until further notice, we will be offering the following:
  • Call or email ordering If you want to order something but don't see it on our online store, call us at 616.531.6641 or email threadbenderinc@msn.com to place your order. We will then get an invoice ready and send it to you if the product(s) are in stock.
  • Drop shipping directly from some suppliers Baah Yarn and Berroco are offering all their products to consumers. Just let us know what you would like - no minimums - and we will invoice you. Shipping charges may apply.
  • Regular shipping from the store We are able to ship anywhere in the United States again. We will have someone in the store a few times a week to process orders and hope to ship within 3 days of receiving your order. 
  • Bench Pickup We have that super cool bench outside our front door where we will put your order for no contact pickup. If you select this option at checkout, we will email you to figure out the best pickup time.
  • Delivery We will offer delivery of your order within 10 miles of zip code 49418 for a $4 charge. The delivery will be made within 5 days of receiving your order. We reserve the right to change the option to shipping if that is more suitable. Before we make this change, we will contact you to discuss.

So it's not fun, but we believe it is necessary. Here are the current policies in place:
  • 15 or 30 minute appointments are required so we can sufficiently sanitize -- we really need you to call or email ahead of time
  • masks are required while in the store (we have extras if you need one)
  • hand sanitizer is at the counter, and is required before shopping -- you may use it as many times as you like
  • please touch as little as possible and keep yarn squishing to a minimum
  • only one person is allowed in the store at a time, and the door will be locked at all times during business hours, so please knock or call -- if you have to bring a child, we may be able to schedule shopping time outside our regular hours -- please call or email to discuss
  • since your shopping time will be limited, please be mindful that people may be coming in right after you -- you can take a look at our website before you come, or let us know what you may want to look at in case there is something we can get ready for you beforehand
  • please maintain 6' of distance from anyone else in the store
  • frequently touched surfaces will be sanitized after each customer leaves
Please note we have employees who have higher risk factors than most. We also have a staff member who is a part of the hearing impaired community. You may be asked to lower your mask or write down your questions, as reading the lips of someone wearing a mask is impossible. To keep the area as safe as possible, we have installed a plexiglass sheet in front of the counter. We want to make these changes as easy on our staff and customers as possible. And by all means, if you are not feeling well or have recently been ill, please do not enter the store. We can work with you virtually through video, phone, and/or email.
