La Jolla - Assigned Pooling Series

Threadbender Yarn Shop's number ONE selling yarn is La Jolla. Baah Yarn’s most popular and sought-after product, La Jolla is a fingering weight yarn, made of 100% superwash merino wool. Each unique skein of Baah Yarn La Jolla is carefully hand painted in small batches in their studio, using only high-quality yarn and professional grade dyes. As with all hand-dyed yarns, each skein takes on a slightly different appearance (even when dyed together!) No two will look identical, which makes each skein unique!

The Assigned Pooling series is a way of dyeing the yarn so there is a large section of one color (or combination of colors) and a short section of another. Baah has done sort of an opposites theme with each of these combos. The first one has the lighter color as the majority of the skein and its "Shadow" color has the darker color as the majority. When one knits or crochets with the assigned pooling yarn, a special stitch is often done using the smaller pool to help it stand out. Weavers can plan interesting warps with this pooling series as well.
