This beginner friendly class will go over chart reading, 2-color double knitting flat, selvege edges, and tubular bind-off. In class we will work to create a reversible cotton trivet that will bring laughter to your kitchen and a little bit of Junior home with you! Students will go home with an instructional handout to continue knitting at home that includes the pattern for Junior's Trivet.
Techniques: Two-color, flat double knitting, chart reading, and tubular bind-off.
Materials to bring to class:
Size 5 straight needles OR size 5 circular needles on 16 inch cord
Highlighter or Highlighter Tape
6 stitch markers
Tapestry Needle
Yarn is included and will be provided in class. Knitting experience is required.
